Meet Circle the Wolves

An alumni of one of the finest arts universities in Canada, Steven is a teacher, performer and resource for hundreds of musicians in the Canadian music scene.  
Along with writing and recording for Circle the Wolves, Steven works on ambient tracks based on acoustic guitar and synthesis models.
He is also the proud father of Stella Johnson (18), who is a folk phenom having shared stages with some of the biggest and beat Alberta musicians on some of the best folk stages in the country. 

Corey has been an engineer and producer in Canada for decades, way back to tape based systems.  He has helped launch the careers of hundreds of Canadian artists, spent time as a broadcast engineer, and has worked with legends in the international music community.

Corey is a co-owner of Catalyst Production, which includes a live sound production company, record label, recording studio, publishing company and video production company. 

Singer -Songwriter  and vocal producer, Shimmer Johnson is the key to the sound of Circle the Wolves. Shimmer  has the most beautiful tone thats unlike anyone out there. Shimmer has crafted a distinct sound for Circle the Wolves that truly is in another world.   She writes the most amazing melody lines that are not only clever but emotionally  driven. Get's the listeners really thinking about the song.  A gifted songwriter, Circle the Wolves is  grateful for having someone like Shimmer as our lead vocalist and writer. We plan for future big stages and more! Can't wait to show you what we are made of!

Known for his thunderous tone and undeniable stage presence, Ryan holds down the heartbeat of the band with raw power and precision. A true master of groove, Ryan blends classic rock grit with modern edge, locking in every rhythm and driving the band’s explosive sound. With a natural feel for dynamics and energy, he doesn’t just play the bass he commands it. Whether it’s a pounding anthem or a slow-burning ballad, Ryan brings intensity, emotion, and a magnetic energy that lights up every stage.

A powerhouse behind the kit, Jay Road is a storm of speed, precision and raw energy. Blending double-kick fury with complex rhythms, he drives the music like a thunderous engine. He's a 1 of a kind drummer!

He plays most of the "Live" Shows for Circle the Wolves and will slowly be recording in the recording studio as well with Circle The Wolves. 

Benn is one of the most energetic and lively performers to ever take a Canadian stage!  He’s played on huge festivals, toured extensively and recorded with some of Alberta’s most amazing and creative bands.  A consummate professional, he is practiced and tight, and when he hits the stage, he’s impossible to ignore, his energy is infectious and takes the crowd by storm!
